Some people love to geek out over gear.  If that’s you, here’s a breakdown of my setup. If not, all you need to know is this: the demos I send are fully reproducible in my current recording environment. You’re safe to skip ahead!

Teresa Appel’s Recording Equipment

• Microphone: Neumann TLM 103
• Interface: Apollo Twin
• XLR Cables: Mogami
• Pop Filters: I use two ( plosive P’s are my nemesis)
• DAW: Adobe Audition (with full access to the Adobe Suite)
• Computer: A high-performance PC running outside the booth (powered by my in-house tech guy... aka my husband, who might start invoicing me if he ever reads this)
• Essential Add-On: Coffee. Fancy. Sweet. Non-negotiable.
   

What if your internet breaks?

Funny you should ask.  There are three Starbucks with strong Wi-Fi within two miles of me. If needed, I can relocate and deliver files in record time, no caffeine complaints.

What if ANYTHING breaks?

Backup plans are built into my workflow. I keep spare gear on hand, including:  a backup mic, computer, and interface- so even if the unexpected happens, your project stays on track.

1. Free Custom Demo
Before you hire me, you can request a custom demo of your script, free of charge, so you can be sure my voice is the right fit for your project.

2. Script Analysis + Direction
Once we’re set, I’ll dive into your script with care and professionalism. That means:

• Applying any direction you’ve given me
• Identifying key messaging and tone
• Researching terminology or tricky pronunciations
• Asking clarifying questions so we’re fully aligned
• Studying your audience to tailor the performance
   

3.  Studio-Quality Recording
I record in a professionally treated home studio, inspected by sound engineers to ensure pristine, broadcast-quality audio.  Most times, just before I hit record, I’ll send you a quick update (just in case you have any last-minute direction) that I’m in the booth bringing your script to life. 

4.  Editing + Proofing
Your audio will be fully edited and mastered for a clean, polished delivery. No extra effort needed on your end. I also listen back while following the script to catch any slips, so we can focus feedback on the performance, not the technicals.

5.  Fast Delivery
For most projects, you’ll receive your file (WAV or MP3) within 24 hours Mon-Fri, professionally recorded, edited, and ready to use.

 Bonus Step – Revisions Welcome!
If you receive your final voice over and think, “It’s close, but not quite there,” you can absolutely request adjustments. I welcome direction with enthusiasm and zero ego. I want you to get exactly what you need. Your satisfaction matters.

But the truth is, no two projects are the same, and rates can vary a lot. Things like project type, script length, usage, turnaround time...all of that comes into play.

So instead of cookie-cutter pricing (that would most definitely change once I learn your project details), I provide custom quotes tailored to your needs so expectations are clear… not crumbly... you know... like...like a cookie...
